I am wondering if the Tong Ho is providing my brassicas some sort of cover from the bagrada. So far, explored the use of 2 liter bottle traps with mustard oils. Not much luck so far, jammed some flowering mustard into the bottle to give that a go. Thinking next concept will be letting some select brassicas flower and get an infestation going and try to somehow bag up the plant.
So far only minor damage. It’s early still, I know. I find also that keeping plants in good hygiene helps substantially with bagrada infestations. Taking leaves down to the main stalk, no nubs.
Tong ho transplants have done very well. The dried flowers, combined with lemon verbena makes a good tea.
